The Croydonist is home to all things cultural, quirky and cool in Croydon.

The south London town and borough has historically been negatively portrayed by the UK media, so the Croydonist launched as an antithesis to this – to promote Croydon in a positive light, highlighting the myriad of interesting and unusual things taking place there.

The Croydonist has built a strong presence in the community, and has now branched out into other media in addition to blogging, in order to broaden its audience – hosting charity gig nights, running its own ‘Instagrammable’ walking tour ‘Never mind the Boxpark’, creating a monthly section within a local newspaper, launching podcast series' including Tales of Croydonia, hosting a writing competition, and regularly working with Croydon-inspired artists to showcase their work. The Cro Cro Land festival felt like a natural expansion.
